Copyright & DMCA Policy
BrainLea respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the platform to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement.
1. Ownership of Platform Content
All content, design systems, graphics, lesson curricula, tutorial videos, code snippets, and learning resources provided by BrainLea on this Website are the property of BrainLea or its content suppliers and are protected by international copyright laws. Unauthorized copying, downloading, distribution, or reproduction of these materials is strictly prohibited.
2. Student-Generated Content License
Students own the original code projects they create on our platform. By writing and storing code on the BrainLea platform, students (and their parents) grant BrainLea a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and share their project code in student dashboards and gallery showcases for educational and community purposes.
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA Takedown)
If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content hosted on our Website infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA notice containing the following details to our Designated Agent:
- Your physical or electronic signature (or the signature of an authorized representative).
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and its specific URL location on the Website.
- Your contact information, including physical address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate, and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright.
4. Counter-Notification Procedures
If you believe that your content was mistakenly removed or disabled as a result of a copyright notice, you may send our Designated Agent a written counter-notification. The counter-notice must include your contact details, identification of the material that was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake, and your signature. Upon receipt, we may restore the content if the original complainant does not initiate court proceedings within 10–14 business days.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA, BrainLea has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We also reserve the right to suspend or block access for any user who infringes intellectual property rights.
